What We Investigate

RecordsReveal specializes in investigative data journalism using public government databases. We're particularly interested in tips about:

Large government datasets that haven't been analyzed comprehensively
Patterns or anomalies you've noticed in public records
FOIA releases with significant findings
Discrepancies between official statements and actual data
Underreported stories with strong data backing

Corrections: Factual errors are investigated immediately and corrected within 24 hours if verified. We publish correction notices on affected articles.

General Inquiries: We respond to all legitimate questions within 48 hours during business days (Monday-Friday).

Media Requests: Press inquiries receive priority response, typically within 12 hours.

Source Protection

If you're sharing sensitive information, we recommend using end-to-end encrypted email services (ProtonMail, Tutanota) or secure file transfer methods. We never reveal sources without explicit permission and maintain strict confidentiality protocols.

For highly sensitive tips involving whistleblowing or confidential government documents, please indicate this in your subject line and we'll provide secure communication channels.

What We Don't Cover

To manage expectations, RecordsReveal focuses exclusively on data-driven investigative journalism using public government records. We generally don't cover:

Personal anecdotes without supporting data
Private company data (unless publicly disclosed)
Breaking news or time-sensitive events
Opinion pieces or editorial commentary
Stories that can't be verified through public records

Our mission is narrow but deep: we analyze government datasets that are publicly available but rarely scrutinized, and we publish findings that are factual, verifiable, and relevant to the public interest.
